Characteristics of Student Samples For SAT PracticeIn the second essay lesson, we will be looking at the characteristics of student samples for SAT practice. With so many different students, it is important to know the personality and skills of these students so that you can customize your writing style to make it relevant to the section they are taking. The first of the student samples will be Ficciotto. Here are some general characteristics of student samples for SAT practice.General characteristics: I'm not going to talk about the characteristics of student samples that make a difference between students or how one sample makes a student different from another. You will find this information in the sections of the book where it applies to you. I'm going to talk about the characteristics of student samples for SAT practice.Focus: All of us need to focus on our writing when we write a test. As long as the topic is math or science or English, if we do not focus on what we are writing about, we won't get very far. Ficciotto focuses a lot on the ideas and the section of his essay on how he feels and the sections of his essay where he relates his ideas to a number of factors. For a student taking this section, be sure that you can focus on your writing.Open-ended: Students tend to come up with topics that are not very well developed. If you are going to follow these sample essays, then you will need to be able to come up with a topic that can easily be addressed by your own thoughts. Another way to make sure that you can answer this question is to find a number of topics that have already been tested and which have a lot of solid information that you can relate to your essay. You will find that these topics have not changed very much over the years and the information is still valid.Specific Point: Students want to know what is going to be the case in the future. The problem with writing a test like this is that it can be hard to predict what is going to happen in the future. This makes a student write essays that are able to include a statement of what should happen in the future without having to come up with the concept for the future and then think about how to apply that concept.Use of Wordings: The information that you will find here is that there is a big difference between using wordings for style and them being part of the substance of the information that you are presenting. When a student uses a form, they are telling you that they have their ideas down, but have not told you how to take that information. They might have used the word 'he' and you will find that when they use the word 'she' they will have the same effect.Homogeneity: Writing a test like this is really about making solid points about what has already been demonstrated. However, some people like to be able to write on a variety of topics so that they can try out ideas. If you want to do this, you should take advantage of the fact that this group of essays has been w ritten to help you come up with good ideas for topics. The characteristics of student samples for SAT practice are quite simple. One characteristic that you will find is that they are all going to be very diverse in terms of topic. If you are going to create an essay, then be sure that you can get a variety of topics and then use those topics in order to come up with a writing style that is going to be helpful to you.
